Rules history

Read the current rules
- Title
- Will credit card rates be capped before 2027?
- Outcome
- Before 2027
- Rules
If the federal government has taken action to cap the annual interest rate that credit cards can charge after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes.
- More rules
The action does not need to be effective in the market's time frame. For example, the passing of a bill between Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027 that imposes a cap, even if the cap is not effective until after Jan 1, 2027, is encompassed by the Payout Criterion.

Kalshi sometimes explains a ruling on X or in support replies without editing the contract. No API carries those. Link one here and everyone watching gets an alert.
