Did Polymarket change the rules of a market?

Open the market on RulesWatch: its page lists every version of the rules I've recorded, with removed words in red and added words in green. If the page shows no changes, I haven't seen an edit since I started tracking it. Since I started recording on Oct 31, 2026, I recorded 7 edits: 7 on Polymarket (4 disputed outcomes, 3 date changes) and 0 on Kalshi.

How to check one market

  1. Press Ctrl K on any RulesWatch page and type a few words of the title, or a Kalshi ticker. The market page is at /market/pm/<id> or /market/kalshi/<ticker>.
  2. Read the change history. Each entry links to a change page with the word-level diff, the edit window and the Yes price before and after.
  3. To hear about the next edit, press Watch. See how alerts work.

To see every edit on both venues as they happen, use the changes feed.

What counts as a change

On Polymarket: the question, the rules text, the resolution source, the end date, and the UMA status that shows a disputed outcome. On Kalshi: the title, the outcome name, the primary and secondary rules, the close and expiration times and the early-close condition. Prices and volume are not changes.

Limits

  • Neither venue publishes when it edited. I report the edit window: the time between my last check with the old text and the check that found the new one. The median window across all recorded edits is 2.3 h.
  • A clarification posted only on Discord or X, with no edit to the market, is invisible to me until a trader links it on the market page.
  • I start tracking a market once it has traded in the last 24 hours, or when someone watches it. The record starts on Oct 31, 2026; earlier edits aren't in it.
  • The "clarification" label comes from the wording. The diff under it is exact.

More numbers are on the record; the method is on how it works.
